All athletes, specially that play triathlon, running, swimming or cycling, should maintain a daily training log because it helps them understand more about themselves as athletes. By spending just a few minutes per day on your triathlon training log, you will certainly progress greatly in your workouts, know what adjustments you need to make from time to time, better understand your body’s fatigue signals to know how far you can push it, know when training is excessive, compare results at any time, and analyze test results.

The Triathlon Training log should include details about each day’s workout and personal health information. For instance, it will register distance, time, intensity, heart rate, weight, stress level, start time and end time, in addition to other details.

Triathlon Training Charts

You can create a triathlon, running, swimming or cycling training chart (workout plan for a specific period), which allows for an easier and more integrated relationship between athletes and their workouts, or even between athletes and their coaches. DailyTrain.com its a Triathlon Training Log that allows coaches to create triathlon or other sports training charts and select specific athletes to access their charts.

Using the training chart wizard, you can create a triathlon training chart or any sport training chart with however many days you wish, adding one or more types of workout to each day. All you need to do is name your training chart, assign a period for its use and add workouts for each of the days as needed.

This entails planning enough time to slowly build your mileage to within about 10-15% of the distance of your goal race. Note that many overuse injuries are caused by too much mileage too quickly. Do not increase your duration more than 10% per week and take at least every fourth week as a rest and recovery week.
